Policy rate: uncollateralized overnight call rate (short-term policy interest rate)

The policy rate is a point target, not a range: the guideline for money market operations says "The Bank will encourage the uncollateralized overnight call rate to remain at around X percent". The recorded rate is that X. It was last a range (around 0 to 0.1 percent) from 21 Mar 2024 until the move to around 0.25 percent effective 1 Aug 2024. A change takes effect a few business days after the decision, on the date the statement gives ("effective from ...").
